How does musculoskeletal point-of-care ultrasound contribute to general practitioners’ clinical decision-making?
ECHOSTEOM is a multicentre pilot study comparing doctors’ decisions before and after point-of-care ultrasound in patients with suspected musculoskeletal abnormalities.
Reaching the enrolment target will provide the data specified in the protocol, before analysis and publication of the findings.

ECHOSTEOM began with Dr Joris Dereant’s medical thesis. It is now a study sponsored by Nancy University Hospital, selected for the ReSP-Ir 2022 programme, with funding of €114,985.
